I'm Piret Käen.
Personal trainer for over ten years. My goal isn't just to get you into shape — it's to help you find the kind of training that stays with you for life and becomes part of how you live.
Brief background
I've been in sport since childhood. 15 years of rhythmic gymnastics, then show dancing and aerobics. That led me to get my aerobics instructor licence, which I earned in 2009. In 2015 strength training became part of my daily life, and from there grew "Tahan Olla Terve" ("I want to be healthy") — first on Facebook, then as a blog, with a YouTube channel added on, where I made workouts accessible to people who couldn't fit a personal trainer into their budget.
Today I am:
- listed as a Junior Trainer, level 4, on the Estonian Sports Register (specialisation: fitness),
- licensed by FAF Estonia (Fitness Academy of Finland) as a personal trainer,
- additionally trained in pelvic floor dysfunction and rehabilitation.
Focus areas:
- strength training for beginners and more experienced alike,
- weight loss,
- posture and mobility,
- pre- and postnatal training.
Why I do this work
I started training regularly as an adult, only in 2015 — which is exactly why I know how awkward starting feels. How it feels when you've never been "the sporty type" and it looks like everyone else knows what they're doing. Training gave me a quiet kind of confidence I can't really put into words, and I do this work because I want every person who walks in to find that for themselves too. But not in two months. In a way that stays.
What I'm most proud of
Clients who've stayed with me for years, not months. People who walked in convinced "I don't like the gym" and discovered no one had simply explained it to them properly. Women who, after giving birth, slowly found their way back to their bodies. People in their fifties who realised fitness isn't a train that's already left. I don't count how many kilos anyone has dropped; what matters to me is how many people are still training years later.
What doesn't fit with me
I'm not a fit for you if you want quick results in two months. I don't run "summer body" programmes and I won't promise you'll be a different person by Christmas. If your goal is a punishing plan and an extreme diet, there are better trainers in Estonia for that, and our sessions together would be quietly uncomfortable for both of us. I say this up front because honesty saves us both time.
Locations
Sessions take place at Golden Club in Tallinn (Sõjakooli 10) and Tuule Sports Hall in Jüri (Talli 2 / Laste 3). Online sessions from anywhere.
